G3 Home Phone Calling Features

With G3 Telecom's standard home phone calling features, you get to manage your calls more efficiently AT NO EXTRA COST to you. Click on the items below to take a closer look at each calling feature.

Anonymous Call Rejection

Anonymous Call Rejection

This service automatically rejects all calls for which the caller has withheld the calling number. This may be because the caller's line is configured never to send the calling number, or because the caller has dialed an access code to block the number before making the call.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Automatic Recall

Automatic Recall

This feature allows the user to find the number of the last received call, and return a call to that number.

How to Use:

Press *69 to dial the number of the last call you received.

Call Display

Call Display (Also known as Calling Number and Calling Name Display)

This feature sends the name and number of the calling party to the G3 home phone line. The phone used with G3's Home Phone service must have a screen capable of displaying the name and number.

Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding

This feature allows the user to set up rules to forward calls to a new number depending on the incoming caller ID, so that only calls from specific numbers will be forwarded.

How to Use:

Go to the Call Manager tab in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature, or dial *72 (+ number to forward to) to turn it on, and *73 to turn it off.

The Selective Call Forwarding feature can be configured by dialing *63. This feature provides voice prompts to help you with setting it up.

Call Forwarding Unconditional

Call Forwarding Unconditional (Also know as Call Forwarding All)

This feature allows the user to set up a rule to forward all calls unconditionally to a new number.

How to Use:

Go to the Call Manager tab in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature, or dial *72 (+ number to forward to) to turn it on, and *73 to turn it off.

The Selective Call Forwarding feature can be configured by dialing *63. This feature provides voice prompts to help you with setting it up.

Call Forwarding Busy

Call Forwarding Busy

This feature allows the user to set up a rule to forward calls to a new number when the user is already on a call.

How to Use:

Go to the Call Manager tab in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature, or dial *90 (+ number to forward to) to turn it on, and *91 to turn it off.

The Selective Call Forwarding feature can be configured by dialing *63. This feature provides voice prompts to help you with setting it up.

Call Forwarding No Answer

Call Forwarding No Answer

This feature allows the user to set up a rule to forward calls to a new number if the user doesn't answer the call within a pre-configured delay time.

How to Use:

Go to the Call Manager tab in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature, or dial *92 (+ number to forward to) to turn it on, and *93 to turn it off.

The Selective Call Forwarding feature can be configured by dialing *63. This feature provides voice prompts to help you with setting it up.

Call Hold

Call Hold

This feature allows the user to place a call that is in progress on hold.

How to Use:

You can put a call on hold by pressing the Hold key. To retrieve the call, press the Pickup or Resume key. If you've made another call since you put the first call on hold, you'll need to put that call on hold before you can retrieve the first one, using the arrow keys to select the call to retrieve.

Calling Number Delivery Blocking

Calling Number Delivery Blocking

This feature allows callers to prevent their calling number and name from being presented to both internal and external called lines.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Call Transfer

Call Transfer

Allows the user to transfer a call to another party to another without announcing the transferred party to the new party, or waiting for the new party to answer the phone.

How to Use:

Press the Transfer key - this places the current call on hold. Dial the number of the person you want to transfer the call to. If you want to transfer the call before the other person answers, press the Transfer key. Alternatively wait until the person has answered before completing the transfer by pressing the Transfer key.

Call Waiting

Call Waiting

Call waiting alerts users when they are on a call and receive another call concurrently.

How to Use:

To answer this second call you should either select Answer or press the line key which is flashing. Answering the second call will automatically put the first call on hold. You can toggle between the calls by placing the current one on hold and retrieving the other call.

Cancel Call Waiting

Cancel Call Waiting

This feature disables the Call Waiting feature, either on a per-call basis or on a permanent basis.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Call Waiting with Caller ID

Call Waiting with Caller ID (also known as Visual Call Waiting)

This feature allows the user to see the call display of incoming calls, while they are on another call.

My Home Phone Manager is an online tool that allows you to manage your home phone service over the web from any Internet connection.

Customer Originated Trace

Customer Originated Trace( Also known as Call Trace)

Customer Originated Trace allows users to record the details of any malicious or harassing incoming calls to their lines.

Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb (DND)

The Do Not Disturb (DND) feature allows the user to block all incoming calls to a particular line or phone.

How to Use:

Press the DND key (if available) to turn Do Not Disturb on and off. If you don't have a DND key then dial *78 to turn Do Not Disturb on, and *79 to turn it off.

Find Me Follow Me

Find Me Follow Me

Find Me Follow Me is a feature that allows users to specify a series of different numbers (or combinations of numbers) to be rung in sequence when an incoming call arrives at their number.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Last Number Redial

Last Number Redial (Also known as Last Call Return)

This feature allows the user to conveniently call the last number with a single touch, rather than having to dial the complete number again.

Reminder Calls

Reminder Calls

The reminder call feature allows users to configure a reminder call to be placed to their individual lines at the configured time with an announcement indicating that this is a reminder call.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Selective Call Acceptance

Selective Call Acceptance

This allows calls from certain configured numbers to be allowed through to the phone even when Do Not Disturb is enabled.

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Selective Call Rejection

Selective Call Rejection (Also known as Call Screening)

Selective Call Rejection allows users to configure certain numbers from which they don't wish to take calls. Incoming calls from these numbers will be provided with an announcement telling the caller that their call has been rejected.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Simultaneous Ring (SimRing)

Simultaneous Ring (SimRing)

SimRing allows a line to be configured so that whenever calls are received other lines will also ring, and the call can be answered at these other lines.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Speed Dial

Speed Dial

Speed Calling lets you easily reach those you call frequently by dialing only one digit.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Three-Way Calling

Three-Way Calling (also known as conference calling)

This feature allows users to initiate a conference using their phones.

How to Use:

When in a regular call, press the Conf key. Dial the person you want to join your call. Once this person has answered press the Conf key again to set up the three way call.

Toll Restriction

Toll Restriction

The ability to block the phone from making long distance phone calls.

How to Use:

Log in to your account in My Home Phone Manager to enable/disable this feature.

Voicemail

Voicemail

Allows the user to receive messages when they are unavailable to answer an incoming call.

When you have one or more unheard voice messages waiting, your phone will display a flashing light in the upper right corner.

How to Use:

Press *98 or press the Messages or Voicemail key if you have one.

To listen to your voice messages: Press 1
To listen to your other messages: Press 11
To save a message: Press 2
To delete a message: Press 3
To change your mailbox settings: Press 4
To go back to previous menu: Press *
To finish: Press #

You may also access your voicemail visually using My Home Phone Manager.

Voicemail to Email

Voicemail to Email

This features allows the users to have their voicemail routed to the email box of their choice. They are able to listen to the message on the audio player on their choice.

How to Use:
