  • What are your different long distance plans?

    G3 offers either prepaid or monthly billing options with our long distance plans. You don't have to switch your existing long distance carrier to be able to use this service. We will give you an access number from your city and set up the phone numbers you wish to register with G3. There are no PIN numbers to enter!

    Prepaid:

    1. Add a minimum $5 to start using service (you will hear the balance of the funds available on your account every time your use the service).
    2. No monthly bills to worry about.
    3. No monthly bills to worry about.

    Monthly Billing:

    1. No need to recharge or add funds to your account to make calls.
    2. Pay by credit card every monthly billing cycle.
    3. Unlike the prepaid plans, you don't have to recharge or add funds to your account to make calls. You simply pay by credit card every monthly billing cycle.
  • Where are your long distance services available in?

    Our long distance services are available all across Canada and the USA with the exception of:

    • Canada: Yukon, Nunavut and NWT
    • USA: Alaska and Guam
  • Can I use your service when I travel?

    Absolutely. If you would like to use our service from outside your home or when you travel within North America (Canada/USA), simply use your PIN and dial our toll-free numbers (applicable surcharge will apply).

  • Can I use your services from my cell phone?

    Yes, you can use our services from your cell phone. You will still be charged your usual air time and any roaming charges (if outside your regular coverage area) by your service provider. Our plan is great for cell phone use because you avoid paying the high long distance charges that most cell providers charge. If you plan on using it often - you can program the access number as a speed dial in your cell phone.

    Do you own a smartphone?

    If you use a smartphone, consider using the G3 app. This free mobile application allows you to make low rate long distance calls directly from your contact list, address book, phone screen or email view without having to dial long access numbers or PINs.   • Can I use your services from a public payphone?

    You may call long distance from a payphone using our toll-free numbers. An applicable surcharge will apply.

  • What is the minute increments you charge?

    All calls are charged by the minute. For example, if your call lasts for 6 minutes and 30 seconds, it will then be billed at 7 minutes.

  • What are special country code terminations?

    Special country code terminations are international toll numbers assigned to certain institutions in different destinations such as government institutions, banks, hospitals, universities, army bases, etc. A higher rate may apply to any of these destinations.

  • What is G3's Pay As You Go service?

    G3's Pay As You Go long distance is a dial-in service. This means that you don't have to switch your existing long distance carrier to use this service.

    1. We will set up a primary phone number and up to two (2) secondary numbers from which you can call long distance through G3;
    2. Simply dial our seven-digit access numbers (from your city), followed by the long distance number you wish to call. There are NO PIN numbers required to dial.

    You may also program the access number as a speed dial on your phone so it will be easier to use. And if you plan on using our service outside the authorized phone numbers you register with us, we will provide you with a calling card to use.

    Our long distance service is available as a Prepaid or Monthly Billing option.

  • What is Auto Recharge?

    Auto Recharge is a service provided to our customers that allows us to automatically recharge your account, once your account is at $5 or lower, for an approved amount of money. With Auto Recharge, the advantage is you don't have to phone us or go on the website to keep adding funds to your account. Our system will automatically add money to your account when your balance is low.

    To set up your account for Auto Recharge, please call our customer service at 416-499-2121 or 1-888-556-5849 (Canada) / 1-866-935-9218 (USA), or through our website.

  • How does the Speed Dial feature work?

    You can set up to 10 numbers on you speed dial list. This can be done by logging into your account and choosing "Manage my Speed Dial List," or by calling our customer service.

    Once your speed dial numbers are set up, you simply dial our access number and enter the speed dial position (1 to 10) plus the # key. That's it! No more dialing long numbers!

    How to Use The Speed Dial Feature:

    Step 1: Program Speed Dial Numbers

    Enter phone numbers as you would dial the number and choose your description.

    Canada, USA & the Caribbean:

    Dial 1 + Area Code + Phone number + #

    International Countries:

    Dial 011 + Country Code + Area Code + Phone number + #

    TIP: Entering the # sign after you enter your phone number helps you connect faster. To make another call, don't hang up - simply enter # # and wait for the voice prompt.

    Step 2: Dialing with Speed Dial Feature:

    1. Dial Access Number.
    2. Enter Speed Dial Position (1 to 10) + #.

  • How do I apply or set up my long distance account?

    Simply fill out our application form, either online or call our customer service at 416-499-2121 or 1-888-556-5849 (Canada) or 1-866-935-9218 (USA).

  • What are your "One (1) Cent Per Minute" plans?

    Our "One (1) Cent Per Minute" plans are available to either existing or new customers. You can add it on to your existing long distance plan, or you can simply enroll in any of our "One (1) Cent Per Minute" plans if you only wish to call Canada, USA or over 40 countries and save up to 66%!

    Available plan options:

    • Lite - 500 monthly minutes
    • Basic - 1,100 monthly minutes
    • Plus - 1,700 monthly minutes
    • Ultra - 3,500 monthly minutes

  • What are your different country-specific monthly bundles?

    We currently offer the following monthly plans to the following countries:

    • Kenya - 200 monthly minutes
    • Nigeria - 250 monthly minutes
    • Pakistan - 200 monthly minutes
    • Philippines - 200 monthly minutes
    • Sri Lanka - 200 monthly minutes
    • Sudan - 150 monthly minutes

  • What happens if I exceed my monthly minutes?

    There are no overages for any of our monthly plans so once you use up your allotted minutes, you will not be able to call unless you have an existing prepaid balance with us. In this case, you will be automatically switched to using your regular prepaid balance once you expend all of your monthly bundle minutes.

  • How do I get in touch if I have a concern or need help?

    At G3 Telecom, our first priority is giving our customers excellent service. If you have a concern, you may talk to one of our customer care experts at 1-888-556-5849 (Canada) or 1-866-935-9218 (USA).

    If our customer care team has been unable to resolve your complaint satisfactorily, a Customer Service Manager will be pleased to assist you. We always strive to respond within one (1) business day.

    If you are not satisfied with the resolution of your complaint after following our escalation process above, you can refer your complaint to the CCTS.

    If you are a resident of New York state, the Department of Public Service (DPS) provides a variety of services to protect and assist utility customers. Its Office of Consumer Services assists consumers in resolving disputes with utilities. If you have a complaint about your service, you must try and resolve it directly with your service provider. If you have done so and have been unable to reach a satisfactory resolution, DPS may be able to help you.
